for Yankee dryers: YC 39

Process / structure of coating

At Yankee dryers with relatively heavy damages on their surface a coating in two phases is recommended. On top of a  YC 30-coating another YC 38-coating is sprayed in high speed method. That means, that in the end the advantages of both coating layers are combined with each other.

After the removal of elder coatings, the cylinder is contour ground and sandblasted.

With the help of "spot repair" bigger damages on the surface are fixed.



Afterwards a YC 30-coating is applied.

This YC 30 is ground and sandblasted and so forms the basis for an additional layer.





This second coating – YC 38  – is sprayed in high speed method and ist much harder and finer in it´s structure.



If necessary the YC 38 -coating is also sandblasted, to guarantee the ideal surface characteristics for the cylinder´s use.
The combination of YC 30 and YC 38 in result is the special coating YC 39.
